I have no excuse. I just have not been as faithful here as I have been on Facebook. However, here’s what’s been going on …
In the last six weeks I’ve only seen my nutritionist once. My next appointment is on July 11th and I plan on keeping that one. I know I have gained at least two pounds due to recent traveling and not being able to be as careful as I would have wanted. That and I enjoyed myself a little this past weekend. Everyday starts out great only to deteriorate when I get home from work. I’d say, right now, that that is my worst time.
Again, it really hasn’t been a good last few days. I’ve been in pain, I’ve been grumpy, and I got in some trouble at work. At the nutritionist we spent my half of the appointment discussing some of these issues more than my diet.
First, I’m doing very well food wise. I’m sticking to my 1500 calories or below everyday. Even days where we “splurge” on something I just cut back elsewhere. On Sunday, Mother’s Day, my mom really wanted Kentucky Fried Chicken so I had one chicken breast and two biscuits (I really love those) but then had light meals the rest of the day. I’m also still drinking anywhere from 80-100 ounces of water/no sugar iced tea throughout the day. Nutritionist is very pleased here.( Read the rest of this entry »Collapse )
It’s been a rough two weeks. Work has picked up quite a bit plus finals at school. I haven’t been feeling well (typical pain not withstanding) and my ‘friend’ has been visiting. Because of feeling crappy I haven’t been to the Y lately, maybe I can get back there this weekend.
Doctor’s office called yesterday and they scheduled an MRI for tomorrow morning. Let’s hope they don’t find anything but then if they did maybe we could finally get whatever it is taken care of so I can get back to life.
I really debated about posting today since I’ll be seeing the nutritionist on Wednesday but if I want to remain consistant I should stay on my schedule.
My birthday was last Thursday so I “cheated” a little here and there. I had no expectations when getting on the scale this morning. But I lost the pound that I had found last week so that is definately progress.( Read the rest of this entry »Collapse )
I have decided that Monday and the day I see the nutritionist will be my official weigh in days.
Officially, I’ve gained 1 pound. I don’t know how it found me but it did <sigh>. However, I will not give up. I knew this was a bumpy ride going into this.
I’ve been at the calorie line all weekend and even today I really toed the line. I wonder if that time of the month is coming.
The weekend, pain wise, wasn’t great either. I did swim on Saturday morning but other than that I didn’t do anything strenuous. In fact, I was down right lazy.
I think I feel a lump in my left side and plan on bringing that up to the doctor when I see him again, which is in four weeks. I also cannot lay on my left side for any period of time. That kind of scares me. I just want to know what is going on with my insides. I’d love to swallow a micro camera and watch it’s journey. Well … maybe not all of it. <G>
I’m not really in a good mood tonight so I’ll keep it short. I just wanted to check in, grumpiness and all.
I might go read a sappy romance novel.
I do need to cheer up, it’s birthday week after all.

Had an appointment with the nutritionist this morning.
She’s very happy about the start we got off to and she liked how I was keeping my diary. I use www.livestrong.com and the LiveStrong iPad app. A lot of her patients use this but mostly on the iPhone.
Today wasn’t exactly great. All morning I had been feeling off, starting with the drive to work. About halfway there I started to feel very sleepy. About mid morning my tummy began giving me issues until finally I felt like … Continue reading →
While I’ve been “dieting” just about all my life, my current journey started in 2006. Actually in 2005 but that year was spent prepping for the surgery. That year was spent with the nutritionist planning the next stage of my life and having all sorts of required tests and appointments. On March 2, 2006 I had a gastric bypass, the full RNY procedure, not the lap band that’s more common today.
